The Position: Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse ~ Medical Oncology Clinic

Employment Status: Full-time

Hours per two-week pay-period: 70

Essential Job Functions:

• Assessments, assisting providers with procedures, calling patients with test results, prescription refills, filing, ordering medical supplies and additional duties as assigned by provider
• Rooming patients, taking vitals and intake documentation
• Placing orders and managing inbasket
• Coordination of patient care

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification within 12 months of hire or have an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Proficiency in basic medical terminology and procedures and knowledge of electronic (EHR) systems.

Certifications and Licenses:

• Must complete certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program within 12 months or have a current unencumbered Montana LPN or RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required

Position Summary:

Sidney Health Center is seeking a Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse to join our I CARE team in the Cancer Center Medical Oncology Clinic Setting. Essential duties of the position include rooming patients, completing assessments, calling patients and coordination of patient care.
