The Position: Marketing Assistant
Employment Status: Full-time
Hours per two-week pay-period: 80
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinates and assists with the marketing and public relations of Sidney Health Center
- Helps produce marketing materials for various service lines
- Assists with internal and external communication, graphic design, supporting marketing campaigns, managing social media content, and coordinating advertising on various platforms
- Updates the website
- Participates in special events
- Writes and edits content
- Captures images and video
- Provides administrative support
Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in an office environment related to marketing/communications activities.
- Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or journalism or related field; previous work experience in project support or involvement in a communications capacity.
- Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as graphic design skills are crucial for this role.
Position Summary:
Sidney Health Center is seeking a creative and team-oriented individual to assist the Marketing and Communications Department with marketing, communications, and public relations efforts across the organization. This position is responsible for providing administrative support, assisting with the creation and production of marketing materials for various service lines, writing engaging content for print, digital channels and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail, be proficient in computer programs including word processing and Adobe design programs, and be able to capture images and video. Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT is preferred. Candidates must also be knowledgeable in social media management and content strategy. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required; however, a minimum of two years of advertising or marketing experience in an office setting is required in lieu of education. Applicants must be prepared to present a portfolio of writing and/or creative work during the interview process. This position reports to the Marketing and Communications Director and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and mission-driven healthcare team.
